Associate Professor Rana Hinman is a physiotherapist at the Centre for Health Exercise & Sports Medicine within the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. Her area of research is knee osteoarthritis (OA), in particular, the evaluation of conservative non-drug treatments for this condition and conduct of randomised controlled trials (RCTs), as well as evaluation of biomechanical risk factors associated with knee OA. She has a large body of peer-reviewed papers and has received almost $4million of research funding for her work, including both NHMRC and ARC support.
