Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in Australia, accounting for 38% of all deaths. Researchers in the Cardiovascular Research Domain approach cardiovascular research on many fronts which reflect the urgency and complexity of cardiovascular disease, ranging from prevention to molecular mechanisms to sophisticated clinical interventions.

Our research is encompassed in eight broad research domains which incorporate discipline and disease focuses and include over 1400 researchers working within the Faculty. The research domains are led by Research Domain Coordinators who provide opportunities for researchers to connect, collaborate, communicate and support each other. |
